2008 Honorees:

POLICY AWARD: DREAM Act Students
We are honored to recognize the DREAM Act students with the Policy Award for their leadership in advocating changes in our legislation. From being active members in student-led campaigns to educating fellow students and the community about the benefits of new policies, these students have been a vital part in this positive movement for higher education and obtaining legal status. As they continue to fight for securing a better future, we would like to acknowledge and support their persistent effort of making their dreams a reality.

ADVOCACY AWARD: Eva Grove of The Grove Foundation
We are privileged to present the Advocacy Award to Eva Grove of The Grove Foundation. We are recognizing her leadership on behalf of the work to advance the rights of newcomers and immigrant families and students. She is being honored for her unwavering support of the constitutional rights of immigrants, as well as providing Bay Area immigrants with opportunities to be represented by pro bono attorneys. The ILRC also applaud and appreciate the support she provides to organizations advocating the DREAM Act.
