New Americans Campaign: A Citizenship Movement

The New Americans Campaign held a peer-to-peer learning conference, “United for Citizenship,” in New York in early May 2014 for partner organizations. The event also included an all-day workshop, which provided free legal services to hundreds of LPRs seeking citizenship.  The first of its kind, the Campaign is a network that consists of one hundred legal-service providers, faith-based organizations, businesses, and community leaders working in more than 16 sites nationwide.  The Carnegie Corporation, one of the Campaign’s grantors, captured the events that took place during the conference and workshop in these two videos. The first video highlights several volunteers helping LPRs and in the second video, Carnegie Corporation’s Geri Mannion, Program Director, discusses the Campaign.
