AnneRose Menachery is a Policy Attorney based in the Immigrant Legal Resource Center’s Washington, DC office, where she focuses on advancing federal immigration policy. Prior to joining the ILRC, she served as Legislative Director and Counsel for US Congressman Luis V. Gutiérrez, managing the legislative team and leading the Congressman’s work in the House Judiciary Committee and in immigration policy.
AnneRose has worked with and advocated for immigrant communities for over a decade. While in law school, she focused on immigration law, working at the Families and the Law Clinic, the Arlington Immigration Court, and the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. Before attending law school, AnneRose served unaccompanied immigrant children and immigrant victims of domestic violence through her work at two different non-profit organizations in Washington, DC, the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, and Ayuda. AnneRose earned her law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Wake Forest University.
