On Feb. 5, the ILRC submitted a comment on proposed revisions to Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. In the comment, the ILRC commended USCIS for providing gender-inclusive options on the form and urged the agency to reduce the length of the form given its importance and prevalence of pro se filing. ILRC also urged USCIS to consider allowing travel permission for individuals who have pending U visa applications who would greatly benefit from the ability to travel with permission during the long pendency of their applications.
